A M6.3 earthquake occurred in the region of Kaki, 90 km south-east of Bandar Būshehr, southern Iran on Tuesday 9th of April, 2013 at 11:52 UTC (14:52 local time) killing 37 and injured more than 850 people.
Water and electricity were cut to many residents, according to the authorities, in the worst-hit district Shonbeh.
In 48 hours following the main shock, 91 M3.5+ aftershocks have been recorded. Among them, 5 with a magnitude greater than 5 and 42 greater than 4.
